Practical information

Know before you go

• Arrival Time: Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before curtain time to collect tickets, locate your seats, and settle in comfortably before the performance begins.
• Dress Code: Smart casual to formal attire is recommended for London theatre productions, though there are no strict requirements for most venues.
• Mobile Devices: Switch phones to silent mode or turn them off completely before the performance starts to avoid disturbing other audience members and performers.
• Late Arrivals: Many venues have strict policies about late arrivals and may not admit patrons until a suitable break in the performance occurs.
• Interval Information: Most productions include a 15-20 minute interval where you can visit venue facilities, purchase refreshments, or discuss the performance.
• Bag Checks: Some London venues implement security bag checks, so allow extra time for entry and avoid bringing large bags or prohibited items.
• Parking and Transport: Research public transport options or nearby parking facilities in advance, as many London theatre districts have limited parking availability during performance times.
