Visitor guidelines

• TimeShift at Dialoghaus Hamburg invites you to take on a unique group adventure where your senses, creativity and teamwork are put to the test. Guided entirely in darkness, this interactive tour reimagines how we connect and solve challenges without the help of modern technology or gadgets. Based on the acclaimed format by the creators of "Dialogue in the Dark," TimeShift challenges participants to rethink communication and collaboration in a technology-free future setting.
• Upon arrival, your group, consisting of at least three members, will be welcomed by a trained guide. The experience begins with a short introduction before you are led into a completely dark environment. Here, vision gives way to touch, sound, and intuition. As you navigate this unfamiliar space, each participant’s contribution becomes essential for overcoming unique puzzles and tasks, all without any visual cues or technological assistance.
• The tour is structured as an engaging narrative that propels you and your group into a speculative future where common devices and digital solutions no longer exist. Instead, problem-solving relies on verbal communication, listening skills, and creativity. Story elements unfold as your team completes challenges designed to spark discussion and encourage innovative thinking about the future and our reliance on technology.
• Whether you are visiting with family, friends or colleagues, TimeShift accommodates a variety of group types. The guided nature of the activity ensures that everyone is engaged equally and can contribute their perspective to the group’s progress. The experience aims to be thought-provoking, playful and memorable for all participants.
• This innovative tour lasts approximately 75 minutes. Guidance is provided throughout, ensuring safety and support from entry to exit. Drinks are available for purchase before the start of your adventure at the reception area. Please note that due to the dark environment, wheelchair access is not available for this experience.
• TimeShift is designed for those looking to break from the everyday routine and discover what it's like to cooperate in a completely unfamiliar setting. It's perfect for team-building events, family outings or any group wanting an original and insightful experience in Hamburg.
